306 Heavy DC conforms to the requirements and standards of API Spec. 7, Appendix F, May, 1979.

ThredOn 306 Heavy DC is a heavy duty drill collar compound containing a minimum of 60% fine atomized lead powder. Heavy DC is not affected by vibration, contraction or expansion. It can be used as a sealant and lubricant on all threaded connections. It is also effective against oil, LPG, water, steam, ammonia, alkalis, acid, petroleum hydrocarbons and abrasive chemical agents.

Service Recommendations:
A lubricant and sealant for all threaded connections. Specifically formulated for use on drill collar rotary shoulder connections. Also great for Drill Pipe. Can be used as a thread sealant on line pipe and casing. Also for gaskets and high temperature flange connections, including oil gas, steam, air, ammonia, alkalis, acid, chlorides, and other chemical products. Heavy DC prevents metal to metal contact, eliminates galling and seizure of threads. Provides a tight, leak-proof seal under high temperature and pressures. Protects threads against corrosion.
